About the Band
Simon and Martin Creemwheel met at school in the 90's and formed many bands. In 2001 they joined up
with Pete (Martin's brother) and a bassist called Dan and started gigging. Just as they were
gathering a head of steam Dan left for New Zealand and the band split. Martin, Pete and Simon
carried on recording and in 2003 found a new bassist and reformed as The Creemwheels.
Influenced by REM, Radiohead, Elvis Costello, and any number of lo-fi bands, they have been described as:
Not unlike The Super furry animals. Artful and sublime. Interweaving keyboards, acoustic
guitars and gorgeous melodies with scratchy vocals and the feeling of love. This is a
band who will cheer you up for winter.
