cats:for:peru - Asleep in Monaco

Think of Sunday afternoons; the happy feeling it's still the weekend, but the inevitability that Monday morning looms. Sounding chirpy and cheeky yet melancholy, Cats:For:Peru create a mellow and experimental sound. Fusing aspects of folk, indie and electronica they use an array of instruments including guitars, drums, synths, percussion, ukulele and any object that makes a sound to achieve their sound. With a surreal lyrical style the listener is rewarded with some fantastic imagery, great melodies and two well-arranged chilled out tracks.

Asleep in Monaco is easy on the ear and perfect music to wind down with. As it's fairly un-extreme I can imagine many people of varying tastes could appreciate it. I mean, that's not to say that the music is bland or boring, because it's not. CFP have created an interesting, unique sound deserves to be well received by Sheffield.
