EMBRACE - THE WORST CLUB IN SHEFFIELD???

Well I never... having heard good things about Embrace, your valiant reviewer (and owner of the site!) decided to go along and check things out for himself on Sept 26th. He never even got inside the building, because the bouncers were operating a completely arbitrary "you must have the right shoes" policy; mysteriously, most locals got in without any hassle, yet the overseas student behind me in the queue was refused entry, despite wearing shoes that were (to your reviewer's eyes) essentially identical to those of people allowed in without challenge. Was it really his shoes? Who can say? So incenced was your reviewer that he decided to stage a long and very cold sit-down protest on the pavement outside the venue, happily explaining to anyone and everyone [even the Police, who were extremely friendly and let me continue my protest with no hassle whatsoever - thank you!!!] what he was doing and why... their response? A witheringly witty bouncer came out and poured water over our reviewer's crotch, and later issued verbal threats. Clearly NOT a club new arrivals in Sheffield should embrace too keenly; judging by this experience, you won't be allowed in anyway. ZERO POINTS.
